STUPID CRYSTAL JADE XPRESS!!!!
ARGH!!! I feel SOOOO CHEATED!!!
Was gonna buy BK for breakfast and bank in my cheque but figured I'd be late if I did that, so i decided to settle for crystal jade express's century egg porridge.
It's not the first time I've eaten it and usually it's quite good. But today's porridge was the WORST WORST WORST WORST WORSTIEST (yes i know there's no such thing as worstiest but i'm ranting so ;p) porridge i've ever eaten in my WHOLE entire life!!!!!
The ratio of porridge to starch was like 1:3 and it was tasteless!!!! It was as if no salt had been added and I was eating tasteless tao suan!! The worst part was the starch was not mixed properly and there were clear lumpy bit something like what u get when u eat 1/2 boiled egg.
It was such a gross combination I gave up after 4 mouthfuls! Such a a waste to throw food away and also a waste of my $2.50!!! Grrr!!!
Stupid Crystal Jade Express!!!

Taka Singapore Food Fair 2006
Got dragged out to the Taka Food Fair with family.
Had a golden potato with cheese

Deb and Rus's Okonomiyaki

Headed over to Gramaphone after that... a tip for frugal persons, they have this small corner with CDs meant for the China market (i.e the CD covers are in Chinese) selling at around $9-10. A good bargain IMO!

Chinatown Shopping
I've always felt that my sense of direction has gotten better as i've gotten older... but it's not always the case... Poor CC, in his long pants and collared polo shirt (cos it was after his presentation) got dragged all over Chinatown as I searched for People's Park...
Anyway lucky for me I managed to find it!! So here are my good bargain buys...

A pair of 3 quarters for $25!! (Muahaha!!! Cheap and good!!)
A belt for $5.50 (You can choose the belt buckle and strap you like, and if you're like me (a frugal person), you can buy a few more straps and inter-change the buckles and straps as you like!)
And a hair clip for $3.90 (I think someone else has this clip... but I can't remember who...)
Here's a close up of the buckle...

Anyway my conclusion about People's Park is that not all prices are that great but you can try bargaining with shopkeepers, and most of the fashion is quite TW/HK.

Old School Wedding
Recently I've had friends who are getting married, friends who just got married, friends planning to get married....
I'm surrounded by Weddings!!! *runs far away* LOL
I said I wouldn't post any more photos of people on this blog.... But I changed my mind!! ; )
Walked pass my parents wedding photo and I was like hmmm... I'll shared it with you guys...
Mom and Dad looking totally young... Look at Dad's retro flare pants and his Beatles hair-do!!! Look at the people peeking out at them taking photos!!! LOL

A close up shot of my Mom in her wedding dress... Can see the nice lacey details of the dress...

Notice that both the photos have a orangish tinge to it well i dont think that it's cos the photos are old but it's how photos came out back then...
Quite interesting to look at the old photos and see how all my relatives looked back then... with comments like 'OMG! They look so young!!', 'Wahhh so stylo!!', 'Hmm... think they look better now...' and 'Who's that??!' running though my mind...
